Most lead companies only give you one way of providing feedback on their leads: return them. (And a LOT of companies don't even give you that much!). Maybe if you return enough bad leads, they'll get the hint that there's something wrong with where they're getting them from. But who has the time — or money — to wait for them to do that?
It's true: most lead companies only want to hear about the BAD leads… and they don't give you any way to tell them about the GOOD ones you want more of.
As far as they're concerned, a 'good' lead source is one nobody's complained about. They don't know when you take an app, or when you close the lead. And that means they have no clue which sources they should be pouring all their energy into.
You're the one out in the field trying these leads day in and day out. You know which ones are hot, and which ones are duds.

How A Feedback System Gives You Control
The answer is a Lead Feedback System. Instead of just returning the bad leads, you have the ability to rate ALL your leads for quality — and keep more of the ones you really want coming in.
Here's how it works:
Let's say you get two leads this afternoon, and call them both. One has a disconnected phone number, and the other you pull an app on.
Normally you'd just return the bad lead and call it a day.
With a lead feedback system, you can tell your company about the good lead, too.
You log into your account and choose from several responses to rate your leads. The disconnected number you tag as having 'Invalid Info' and the other you rate as 'Application Taken'. Your response gives both the leads and the lead sources an internal score.
The lead company uses these scores to accurately determine which lead sources need to be shut off AND which ones they should pump their marketing dollars into.
Positive feedback is telling the company, 'Hey, I want more leads just like this!'
Negative feedback triggers the company to investigate the lead source. Good companies will also verify negative feedback and issue you return credit if the lead is actually invalid.
